SRI COOL EDUCATION AMERICORPS

SR1 is a non-profit 501©(3) organization that continuously strives to be a leader in eliminating disparities in education, health, and technology through science and partnerships. We tutor and mentor K-12 students in Hinds, Madison and Scott counties in order to promote college access and success.

SR1 serves as an IHL designated AmeriCorps site. AmeriCorps is a nationwide program that is committed to making a difference in the communities it serves. Serving with SR1 as an AmeriCorps member is a great opportunity for students to make a difference in local schools while earning money towards their academic pursuits.
AmeriCorps members receive:
· Full time (1700 hours) $1,052 (less tax) monthly living stipend, health insurance, and $5,815 Education Award;
· Part time (900 hours) $500 (less tax) monthly living stipend, and $2,907.50 Education Award;
· Minimum time (300 hours) and $1,230.69 Education Award.
