Joan Winters Norwood Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship(s), candidates must meet the following criteria:
•Must be a full-time freshman enrolled at Jackson State University;
•Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
•Must demonstrate a financial need;
•Preferred resident of Central Mississippi (Hinds, Rankin, and Madison Counties and/or the Mississippi Delta- Washington and Bolivar Counties)
•Must be a Bachelors of Science in Education: Special Education in Mild and Moderate Major
•Must write a 500-word essay about your aspiration to become an educator and the importance of inclusive and quality education for all students with exceptionalities
