Applicant must be an academically outstanding undergraduate student enrolled full-time at the university;
demonstrate academic achievement by having a 2.5 GPA;
demonstrate a strong financial need;
must be a resident of Jackson, Mississippi;
submit an essay explaining why the book award is needed.
